At what stage is Italy today on its way towards achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals enshrined in the UN Agenda 2030 and signed exactly two years ago? How can our country implement policies that are so effective as to overcome the existing delays and achieve the targets set for 2020 and 2030, becoming sustainable on an economic, social and environmental level? Has the Government adopted adequate measures in the last year to respond to the challenges of our times?
\nThe ASviS 2017 Report, created thanks to the contribution of its over 170 members, presents Italy\u2019s current position with respect to the SDGs and outlines scenarios for the evolution of our country to 2030 based on the various policies adopted.<\/p>\n

During the presentation of the Report, which was held on 28 September at the Chamber of Deputies, analyzes were illustrated with respect to the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development, the policies conducted in the last year, also in the light of synthetic statistics for Goal elaborated by ASviS (unique on the international scene) and presented for the first time in the Report, and the proposals for the policies to be followed were described, starting from the next Budget Law. Thanks to the use of an innovative analytical model, the foreseeable development paths for Italy between now and 2030 on the basis of the various policies adopted have been shown for the first time.<\/p>\n

Finally, the new ASviS database was presented, based on over 170 statistical indicators, a permanent interactive tool on the Sustainable Development Goals, which can be consulted online for free. The database can be a fundamental resource for journalists and other users, as, thanks to the use of graphical analysis systems, it allows to view the values \u200b\u200band trends of the indicators, historical series, make comparisons between regions and macro-regions on several indicators also of different Goals, including the composite indicators of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals calculated by ASviS.<\/p>\n
