Since 2018, LINK 2007 has been actively engaged in the implementation of projects focusing on the nexus between migration and development in West Africa.<\/p>\n

The aim of the event is to present the Personal fulfilment as an alternative to migration project and its results, but also to propose a reflection on the intrinsic link between migration and development and the need for joint and coordinated actions between the various actors in order to maximise the benefits of migration for sustainable development.<\/p>\n

The project, financially supported by MAECI\u2019s DGIT, was implemented by LINK 2007 in partnership with LVIA, CISP, the association Le R\u00e9seau and the pan-African association JVE (Jeunes Volontaires pour l\u2019Environnement), and lasted 17 months.<\/p>\n

The aim of the project was to strengthen the possibilities of young people from Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger to take advantage of the many different training, employment and business creation opportunities that exist in their countries, thus enabling them to consciously choose which life paths to take, starting from the opportunities offered in their own countries.<\/p>\n

he webinar, which will be moderated by Mehret Tewolde<\/strong>, Vice President of Le R\u00e9seau Association, will be attended by the Deputy Director General\/Central Director for Migration Policies and International Mobility Stefano Bianchi<\/strong>, the Deputy Director General\/Central Director for General Development Cooperation Issues Laura Aghilarre<\/strong>, the Director of the UNDP Subregional Office for West and Central Africa Njoya Tikum<\/strong>, and the President of the International Diplomatic Institute Paolo Giordani<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project partners will speak about the project and present the results obtained, including the Sahel LVIA Desk Officer Giovanni Armando<\/strong>, the President of the Association Le R\u00e9seau Cleophas Adrien Dioma<\/strong>, the JVE Burkina Faso Representative Olivier Tuina<\/strong>, the Burkinab\u00e9 Association Representative in Italy Sally Maiga<\/strong>. Finally, the Project Area Representative of Banca Etica\u2019s International Development Office Paola Saini<\/strong> and CISP Director Alessandro De Luca<\/strong> will present the project\u2019s future prospects. There will also be a moment of discussion with webinar participants through a Q&A session.<\/p>\n

The closing remarks will be given by Luigi Vignali<\/strong>, Director General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies, DGIT.<\/p>\n
