The panel “The challenge of sustainable and inclusive growth” was attended by Divine Njie, Deputy Director of FAO, Andrea Illy, Co-President of the Regenerative Society Foundation, Ibrahima Coulibaly, President of the Réseau des Organizations Paysannes et des Producteurs des pays Agricoles de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (ROPPA), Father George Tharaniyil, Executive Director of VIS, Roberto Barbieri, General Director of Oxfam Italy and Italo Rizzi.

On behalf of the Independent Table on Local Food Networks and LINK 2007, Rizzi denounces the falsehood of what is being repeated over and over again: that the lack of food is caused by the ongoing war. To date, there is no global food shortage: in fact, it is not a crisis of availability but a crisis of access to food.
