THE ITALY-LIBYAN AGREEMENT .

With reference to the “Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of development, the fight against illegal immigration, trafficking in human beings, smuggling and on strengthening border security between the State of Libya and the Italian Republic”, signed by the parties on 2 February 2017, LINK 2007 shares the concerns expressed in recent days by several voices from associations, the non-profit sector and industry experts. The orientation of the Italian government, in the urgency and need to guarantee coordination and transactional collaboration in the management of migratory flows, does not in fact take into adequate consideration the requests deriving from the commitment of the Republic and of all our institutions to ensure the promotion, respect for and protection of the inviolable rights of the human person.
