Conclusions of the parliamentary inquiry into the impact of rescues at sea

23/05/2017

The final document, approved unanimously by the IV Commission of the Senate on 16 May last, does not reflect the animosity, distrust, gratuitous accusations and exploitation of some parliamentarians during the intense 20 hours of hearings between April and May, which were then resumed by authoritative political exponents, ready to follow the wave of the moment. An appreciable final afterthought by the commissioners.
More generally, the positive effect of the hearings is the acquisition of knowledge by the parliamentarians themselves, who evidently did not have it before. You will find in the document summarized the main issues that emerged following the clarifications obtained.
