On Monday 5 July, Parliament approved the Safety Decree bis which introduces measures which, among other things, severely punish anyone who lands in Italy after having saved people in danger of dying in the Mediterranean. Those who voted for him assume responsibility for the contradictions of these measures with the principles expressed in our Constitution, with the international obligations regarding the promotion and protection of human rights that Italy has assumed and with the sense of humanity and solidarity that is the basis of our coexistence.
