EDD22 interview with San Bilal

On the occasion of the European Development Days we interviewed San Bilal, Senior Executive and Head of Economic Recovery and Transformation at The European Centre for Development Policy Management, to discuss the main development and economic recovery policies to be implemented in this particular time of international crisis.
Resources and debt restructuring are the main issues to be addressed to help developing countries achieve the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda. In this sense, the main action that needs to be taken is to increase financing for sustainable development through the action of Public Development Banks. Furthermore, it is of paramount importance for civil society to push political decision-makers to make conscious choices in favour of sustainable development in lower-income countries. Only through action on a global scale will it be possible to support developing countries.
