The Mattei Plan put to the test

On Friday, 13th February, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni co-chaired the Italy–Africa summit in the Ethiopian capital. “The Plan is no longer a political slogan nor a programmatic promise,” writes Nino Sergi, President Emeritus of the NGO Intersos. “Today, the issue is no longer celebratory but analytical: is the Plan truly reshaping the relationship between Italy and Africa? Or does it risk remaining an operational framework without a sufficiently structured strategy?”
