The inevitable closure of detention centers in Libya

There is strong concern and concern for the inhumane conditions and suffering of people in Libyan detention centres. Assisting them, as some organizations are already doing meritoriously to bring relief to their suffering, without providing for a radical change of this situation, can mean at the same time recognizing and prolonging this criminal system. Experience in serious emergencies has taught us that the ways in which a humanitarian intervention is launched determine its evolution, which often boils down to its indefinite extension. The launch of new assistance activities for illegally detained, exploited and abused emigrants is now also being proposed at the government level.
