Extraordinary Fund for Africa

31/01/2017

“Minister of the Interior since 12 December last is the Hon. Marco Minniti. The Hon. Angelino Alfano thus moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Maeci). However, it seems that some kind of umbilical cord has not yet been severed with the internal affairs left a few weeks ago. It won’t be like this, but these are the facts that drive many people and many civil society organizations, right now, to not be able to free themselves from this assumption. So let’s start from them, and in particular from the Fund for Africa that the Maeci is called to manage in 2017”: an article by Link2007 explains the position of the network in points.

The NGOs and social organizations (CSOs) adhering to AOI, Cini and Link 2007 hope that the decree respects the purpose assigned by the Law to the Fund, which provides for support for “extraordinary interventions aimed at relaunching dialogue and cooperation with African countries of priority importance for migratory routes”.
