Don’t miss the episode of LINK 2007 scheduled tomorrow on Rai3. The programme will offer an in-depth look at LINK 2007’s activities and the Mattei Plan, an initiative that aims to strengthen cooperation between Italy and the African continent, with a focus on sustainable growth and the fight against global inequalities.
During the episode, we will talk about the numerous initiatives implemented by LINK 2007 member organisations in Africa, in the crucial sectors of health, water and climate. These projects are key to improving the living conditions of local populations and promoting fair and inclusive development. Roberto Ridolifi, president of LINK 2007, and representatives of the Cleophas and Guglielmo Micucci organisations will be speaking to give first-hand accounts of the impact of these projects on the ground and the daily challenges they face in advancing these goals.
Another central theme will be African debt, one of the main economic issues hindering the continent’s development. Possible solutions to ease the debt burden and foster a more growth-friendly environment will be discussed. In particular, the Release proposal will be presented, an initiative that aims to revive international cooperation through partial debt cancellation policies, favouring long-term investments and development projects.
Finally, the importance of a greater involvement of CSOs in the Mattei Plan implementation process will be emphasised. Indeed, CSOs are the protagonists of fundamental work in the field, and their commitment is essential for the implementation of a plan that responds to the real needs of African populations, promoting peace, justice and sustainability.
Don’t miss this important event to discover how international cooperation can make a difference and how, together, we can build a fairer and more solidarity-based future for all.
