Mattei Plan: Second Italy–Africa Summit in Addis Ababa

On the 13th of February, LINK 2007 participated as an observer in the second Italy–Africa Summit, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The meeting highlighted the ambitious nature of the Mattei Plan and the appreciation expressed by African leadership for an approach based on dialogue and the identification of shared priorities.

As highlighted by our President, Sandro De Luca:

“The challenge now is to further develop it into an increasingly innovative instrument, capable of leveraging the capacities and experience of the various actors within the Italian development cooperation system, in order to support development pathways even in the most fragile contexts and strengthen relationships between social systems, as well as economic ones.”
